Cavitec® filter

The Cavitec® filter comprises two separate filter segments surrounding a cavity containing granular activated carbon. A unique characteristic of the Cavitec® is that it allows the cavity to be filled with more than one granular additive. This can be in combination with different segment materials for maximum filtration flexibility.

Filter construction

Consists of a tobacco and mouth segment of high-quality crimped acetate surrounding a central cavity. The tobacco segment can be loaded with activated carbon or constructed from paper to further increase flexibility. The cavity is filled with granular-activated carbon, which can be combined with other suitable granular adsorbents.

The outer two segments and the cavity are wrapped in plugwrap, which can be standard or porous. The central cavity is created as the filter segments are wrapped in an outer plugwrap, which can also be standard or porous depending on the required ventilation.

A range of configurations, lengths, circumferences, additive loadings and types are available ensuring each construction is designed to enhance brand and suit taste and filtration requirements.
