Essentra’s Shannon Walker discusses the importance of certification
Pharmaceutical manufacturers must ensure quality and guard against risks at every point in the value chain. As a result, pharmaceutical manufacturers rely on certification and testing to protect the quality of the final product. Though testing provides a validity of performance, it is not sufficient on its own. It needs to be combined with certification which provides that added assurance that all products are manufactured under the same approved conditions and processes, therefore guaranteeing their quality and safety.
In the latest edition of Pharma Expo Show Daily, Essentra's Shannon Walker, vice-president of Quality H&PC Packaging Americas, discusses the importance of certification and Essentra's PS9000 certification for its sites in the US, the only pharmaceutical packaging company in the region to have been awarded this certification.
