The problem of counterfeiting in medicine is widespread and, according to the United States FDA’s estimate, makes up more than 10% of the global medicines market. These counterfeit products pose a pervasive and complex challenge for businesses and consumers around the world and, whilst the threat is very real in any industry, it is particularly dangerous in the pharmaceutical industry.
